How We Ship

Order placed
Your order is received and sent immediately to our roasting partner in the USA.

Roasted to order — 1 to 5 business days
Whole bean coffee is roasted and shipped the same day. Ground coffee ships the day after roasting. Every bag is freshly roasted before it leaves the facility.

Delivered to your door — 1 to 5 additional days
Standard ground shipping via USPS, UPS or FedEx. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships. Total estimated time: 3 to 10 business days.

Returns & Exchanges
- Coffee is a perishable item — returns are not accepted once an order has been shipped.
- If your order arrives damaged or defective, we will send a replacement at no cost to you.
- Damaged orders must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage.
- Express shipping fees (Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, etc.) are non-refundable in all cases.
- Standard shipping is not refunded unless the damage was caused by our fulfillment partner.
Important: If you receive a damaged order, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery. No exchanges will be accepted after this window.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does shipping take?
Coffee is roasted to order within 1–5 business days, then shipped via standard ground carriers. Total delivery time is typically 3–10 business days from order placement.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship internationally via USPS at the most affordable rate available. Delivery times for international orders vary by destination. Customs duties may apply.
Will I receive a tracking number?
Yes. As soon as your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with your tracking number so you can follow your coffee all the way to your door.
Why does it take a few days before shipping?
Because we roast to order — every bag is freshly roasted after your purchase. This is what makes The Pause different from grocery store coffee that's been sitting on shelves for months.
What if my order never arrived?
If your tracking shows delivered but you haven't received your order, contact us within 7 days at hello@the-pause.coffee and we will investigate and resolve the issue.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Orders can be modified or cancelled within 12 hours of placement. After that, roasting may have already begun. Contact us as quickly as possible at hello@the-pause.coffee.
