Guatemala
There are coffees that comfort and coffees that captivate. This one does both.
Grown by smallholder farmers in the volcanic highlands of Antigua, one of the most celebrated coffee-growing regions in the world. At altitudes between 1,200 and 1,616 metres, the volcanic loam soil and cool mountain climate force the Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, and Typica varieties to develop slowly and that patience shows in the cup.
Fully washed and sun dried, the processing preserves every layer of complexity the terroir builds into the bean. Dark chocolate opens first, deep and grounding. Then a brightness from ripe fruit lifts the mid-palate, before a long, smooth butterscotch finish settles in and stays.
Antigua in a cup. Nothing added. Nothing taken away.
